Tijgeritorium

The tigon
Panthera Leo x Panthera Tigris

A tigon, is in contrast with the liger, the cub of a male tiger and a female lion.

A hybrid is an animal that is born after two animals of a different sort have mated. Because the parents are of a different sort, the cub is infertile, otherwise it would have been the same sort if it's a male (females are fertile). A female can only reproduce if she mates a lion or a tiger. A Liger can't reproduce itself.

The tigon is even smaller than the lion (which is smaller than the tiger) because the genes that determines the growth is "double" present (while it's absent with the liger)
