Tijgeritorium

The liger
Panthera Tigris x Panthera Leo

lijger

A liger is, in contrast to the tigon, the cub of a male lion and a female tiger.
The animal strongly resembles to the lion, but has the typical skin and stripes of the tiger. The liger loves swimming, which a lion doesn't like.

A hybrid is an animal that is born after two animals of a different sort have mated. Because the parents are of a different sort, the cub is infertile, otherwise it would have been the same sort if it's a male (females are fertile). A female can only reproduce if she mates a lion or a tiger. A Liger can't reproduce itself.

A liger can grow a lot bigger than a lion or a tiger, because the gene that determines the growth is absent in the liger his genes.
